A mother’s greatest gifts are assuring her child that they are loved and teaching them how to love, Christ, themselves, and others. Your mother was once a little girl being raised by imperfect parents. She has raised you and may have wounded you in the process. Healing Mother Wounds is not about condemning your mother; but is about viewing your situation in light of God’s Word, discovering where you need God’s touch and the steps needed to heal. The Mother Who Wounds and the God Who Heals is the course material.
Healing Mother Wounds could help if any of these statements apply to you:
- You love Christ but feel distant from him.
- You want more out of your relationships.
- You struggle relating on an emotional level.
- You struggle trusting adults.
- You have few memories of childhood.
- You want your mom to be proud of you and sense she wasn’t.
- You fret spending time with her.
- You fear intimacy and commitment.
Some of the topics covered include:
- Profiling of the most common types of inadequate moms.
- Discovering what life was like for your mom as a little girl
- Discovering how to put your situation in proper prospective
- Learning how to forgive your mother
- Learning how to dispose of improper shame or guilt
- Discovering how to have a closer and safer relationship with your mom
Testimonies
